First and foremost, do not do anything you do not wish to do. There are millions of other users on the site that will pay for services you are comfortable and confident to provide. If you have a particular niche or cater to a specific type of client/offer a specialized service; you likely already know how to operate your business and conduct yourself accordingly. These are some general tips for models to provide a helping hand if you are new to webcamming, or if you have noticed a decline in business.
Remember: There is a lot of competition out there nowadays so you should also think about ways that you can stand out from the crowd.
Appearance and Attitude
If you want to appeal to a wider audience, we'd recommend taking the time with your appearance to get yourself ready for the day.
Similarly, if you come across as tired, bored, or as if you just don't want to be there, you may not earn as many credits. Taking the time to welcome members when they enter your room can make a big difference.
Lighting
Lighting is important when webcamming as you need to be clearly visible to your clients; it also helps to improve image quality as all the camera does is capture light, more light = more detail.
The direction that the light is coming from is equally as important as how much light there is. If you have bright lights pointing at your camera, the image will be washed out and it can make you appear darker/harder to see. A good rule of thumb is to keep the light source behind the camera but facing you; keep this in mind if you are using a window for your main light source.
Field of View
The camera's field of view is simply what it is able to see, if possible, we would recommend a dedicated room/area to cam from. You may change the field of view depending on your preference, room setup, and lighting conditions. It is important to secure the room/area that will be in view, so nobody will enter as you broadcast.
To enhance your customer's experience, you may want to make your room tailored for the services you provide by decorating it.
Audio
Wherever possible, we'd recommend webcamming from a room that does not have a lot of audio interference, say for example avoiding rooms that are adjacent to high-traffic roads; if that's not possible try to keep the windows closed to minimize the sound.
If the room you webcam from has an echo, you may want to try and rearrange your furniture or add some if possible. Audio is often overlooked but is a key part of client experience; the fewer distractions they have, the better experience you will both have which often leads to longer and/or repeat sessions.
For successful broadcasts, we recommend:
- an Internet connection with at least 4 Mbps upload speed, and preferably have your laptop connected to the router via cable, as WiFi might not be stable enough if you are too far from the router. We do not recommend broadcasting from mobile 3G/4G/5G networks as these are not stable. Likewise, we do not recommend broadcasting from a mobile phone, as this will limit your ability to interact with the members and perform any requested shows.
-
a laptop/computer, preferably fitted with a Windows 10 or 11 Operation System, equipped with a quad-core or better CPU (i5 or better) with at least 8 GB of RAM. Should you wish to broadcast from a MacOS, then we recommend the 2021+ devices, which can receive the latest macOS and Safari.
In case you do not have a laptop yet, and you are looking for recommendations and specifications of a device that will keep you compatible for broadcasting a long time then we advise that you purchase: a laptop that comes with Windows 11, i7 Intel CPU or Ryzen 7 AMD CPU or better, 16GB of Ram and at least 1TB Hdd (for your adult digital content). In terms of brands, from experience, we recommend Lenovo, Asus, Acer or Toshiba. In case you are a macOS user, we recommend the 2022 Macbook Pros with at least 16GB of Ram and 1TB HDD. - a good quality Webcam. This is what determines your camera image quality. The integrated camera in 99% of the laptops, is of low quality, therefore your image will be washed out and blurry. We recommend these webcams as these have been tested by multiple models and have been very successful and stable: Logitech c920, Logitech c930, Logitech c930e, and Logitech BCC950.
In case you are experiencing any issues with the site, we strongly recommend you clear your browser's Cache and Cookies from the beginning of time/all time (selecting any other timeframe will not have the same effect) since we regularly add new content to the site and cache conflicts is the prime reason for issues that you might experience.
